Kneseth Israel Purim Talent ShowHosted by the Kneseth Israel Hebrew SchoolSunday, March 4, 2007
Kneseth Israel Hebrew School hosted a Purim Talent Show that featured many talented, skilled, and confident children of our synagogue. Following the show, nationally known comedian, juggler, and magician Michael Rosman delighted, entertained, and "wowed" the 100+ people in attendance. A great big thanks to Holly Lindeman for chairing the Talent Show, and for contacting many parents and children in the synagogue to ensure that every child could participate.
Left, Hebrew school students prepare before the show. At right is Kneseth Israel President Shirley C. Aronson and Rabbi Weisblum.
The audience featured some cute young girls with their families.
Costumes featured a variety of characters.
The festival of Purim even brings Steelers and Ravens fans together! At right, Rabbi Weisblum with his Purim necktie with some of the young talent.
The Groucho Marx look was popular. On with the show!
Talented sisters get ready to show their gymnastic skills. One of the country's youngest and cutest magicians (the next David Copperfield?).
Talent with musical instruments -- the viola and the clarinet....
...a violin player. Is that young Ben Roethersberger on the pogo stick?
Happiness is.... being with a teacher you love. Happiness is... ice cream with your sister.
A dynamic dancing duet. A storyteller.
A young poet reads her poem published in a December issue of the Baltimore Jewish Times. The talented and funny Michael Rosman....
...more Michael Rosman. Hebrew School teachers delight and applaud the performers.
Michael Rosman "wowed" us all, especially the brave young volunteer.
A two and a half year old singer... a future contestant on American Idol. A pretty young girl shows her talent in karate.
A family comedy team (sister/brother/cousin), and a girl with a card trick.
At the show's conclusion, Hebrew School mom Abby Janowitz presents artwork in appreciation from the children -- the Hebrew names of each student make up the picture.
Some of the generous donor to the Hebrew School are gratefully acknowledged.
The talented crew takes the stage for a final bow. Michael Rosman (far right), with Rabbi Weisblum and daughter/teacher Brach on his right, and his assistant on the far left.
